L76-L Low Power Mode

With reference to “GNSS Low Power Mode Application Note”:

(1) Is it necessary to set baud rate to 115200 using “PQBAUD” command in order to use low power mode (“PQGLP” command)? (Section 4.2 “Enter into/Exit from GLP Mode”)

(2) When the module is in low power mode, 1PPS functionality is disabled (Section 4.2). Is the 1PPS automatically restored upon exit from low power mode (“PQGLP” command or signal condition)?

(3) If the module exits low power mode due to signal condition, will the module automatically enter low power mode again when signal condition allows, or is another “PQGLP” command required?

Hi Dpsiu,

(1) Not necessary. GLP mode is not related to baud rate.

(2) Yes. The 1PPS will automatically restore when module exit from GLP mode.

(3) $PQGLP,W,1,1*21
(enter GLP mode) is a switch for GLP. If the module enter GLP mode, it will automatically change from Continuous mode to Low Power mode.

You need to send
$PQGLP,W,0,1*20
if you want to exit GLP mode.

Best regards.
