Issue with Quectel 5G Module RM502Q-AE Routing Configuration

Hello,

We are currently working on a project that involves using Quectel 5G modules RM502Q-AE to connect to a 5G private network.

The CN and the GNB are functioning perfectly on a desktop (running on Ubuntu 22.04). However, the Quectel modem is connected to another desktop (running on Ubuntu 22.04 LTS). Below are the commands we utilized to establish connectivity between the Quectel modem and the GNB via a USB210:
Untitled (46)

Upon testing, we observed that the RM502Q-AE does not automatically configure outbound routes on our 5G network. Here is the output of the command AT+QETH=“routing”:
Untitled (47)

Therefore, we attempted to add routes on the device using the documented ‘add’ operation of the AT+QETH="routing" command. However, any invocation of this command (such as the documented example in section 12.7.3 of the command manual) in any format (with or without quotes on strings) on properly configured PDP contexts results in an ERROR output.

We would appreciate any guidance or assistance on resolving this routing configuration issue with the Quectel 5G module. Please let us know if you require further information or logs for troubleshooting.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

See if you can ping by IP address, the output you provided tells nothing about DNS.
