Is there a message on a LC29HEA GPS (like for example the UBlox UBX-TIM-TP message) which gives timing information about the next event on the PPS pin, particularly the quantization error? I’m looking for acurate corrections in the 1 ns range.
Hi @olaf_de_Bont
The PPS accuracy of LC29HEA is 20ns. You can directly measure the PPS pin of LC29HEA and compare it with the reference clock instrument to test the PPS accuracy.
Hi George,
Thank you for your reply. The PPS pin has a hardware accuracy of 20ns, the GPS accuracy internally should be better then that. What I’m looking for is the calculated deviation, i.e. the quantization error of each pulse. Some uBlox GPS modules have this functionality, are there any Quectel GPS modules that have this feature?
Hi @olaf_de_Bont
Please contact your local FAE or sales colleagues, they will provide you with a module that is more suitable for you.
