I need recommendations on MQTT over TLS capable LTE Cat-1 module

Dear Quectel Technical Support,
I am looking for a cellular modem for embedded device. Requirements are:

  1. LTE Cat-1 bis
  2. or LTE Cat-1
  3. Global deployment
  4. with GNSS
  5. MQTT over TLS is a must

As to item (5), you must provide a series or procedure of sending AT commands template. A proven successful MQTTS connection to a public MQTT broker is preferred.

As we have very bad experience with SIMcxm module which claimed to be capable of MQTT over TLS in their manual, but turned out to fail in actual final test. So we are very cautious this time choosing another cellular module.

I have finally got a Quectel EG21-G breakout board on Aliexpress. I cannot find your suggested EG21-GL at all. No one is selling its breakout board.

  1. So what exactly are the differences between EG21-GL and EG21-G?
  2. Please show me the latest firmware of my board. Its Revision is: EG21GGBR07A11M1G
