I cannot see Quectel EC25-E Modem on Sixfab Base Hat when I command "lsusb"

Hello,

I cannot see Quectel EC25-E Modem on Sixfab Base Hat when I command “lsusb”. It’s not visible even if I connected the HAT through both UART pins and USB port. I checked Troubleshooting through the link: https://docs.sixfab.com/docs/raspberry-pi-3g-4g-lte-base-hat-troubleshooting. The problem seems to be about USB connectivity (module may not be inserted/powered in the HAT.) Is it caused by that my Ubuntu system lacks a driver installation?

Thank you.

Dear Customer,

If you could not see the VID(2C7C) and PID(0125) of EC25E with lsusb, it might be hardware issue.

On Ubuntu, even without device driver, you should see

pi@raspberrypi:~ $ lsusb
Bus 001 Device 009: ID 2c7c:0125 Quectel Wireless Solutions Co., Ltd. EC25 LTE modem

What’s more,
you can post the result “lsusb -t” and “cat /sys/kernel/debug/usb/devices”.

I don’t see it.
When I command “lsusb -t”, result:

/: Bus 02.Port 1: Dev 1, Class=root_hub, Driver=tegra-xusb/4p, 5000M
|__ Port 1: Dev 2, If 0, Class=Hub, Driver=hub/4p, 5000M

When I command “cat /sys/kernel/debug/usb/devices”, result:

Seemingly, it’s not detected. It suddenly closed someday. After that, I couldn’t see it on lsusb list. Is it possible that the modem put itself in a recovery mode or something?

By the way, red LED (power) is lighting but the blue (status) LED is always off.

You have the UMTS&LTE EVB? On the EVB, the blue LED is not lighting, which means that the It might be power off.

If you could not see even the Qualcomm VID (05c6),I am afraid there might be something wrong because of hareware isssue.

Does it works with Windows PC?

Have you contact with the sales or the local FAE?

I have Quectel EC25-E Modem on Raspberry Pi 3G/4G & LTE Base HAT. On the Base HAT, the blue light is not lighting at all but the red light is lighting so it made me think that the HAT is working but the EC25 Modem is not working. Yes, I tried it on Windows but it’s still not visible on USB ports.
