Hello, I am trying to use the EC25-EU module on the Raspberry Pi 4b board. But something is not easy.
- First, I plugged the EC25 into the board and recognized the USB as follows. However, only ttyUSB0 and ttyUSB1 were recognized. The manual document states that ttyUSB2 and ttyUSB3 are also recognized.
I need your help.
thanks.
sudo modprobe option
echo “05c6 9059” | sudo tee /sys/bus/usb-serial/drivers/option1/new_id
Hi Friend,
Just from the pictures you provided, the EC25 is not recognized as I guess.
Have you ever modified the USB VID and PID of the module?
05c6 9059 is not the Quectel product. Please check it carefully.

thank you for your answer. I think so.
I purchased a USB dongle sold at “http://www.fanconn.com”. I will check the module.
We should not see Quectel on the module. It seems from Yuge.
You can query it using AT command AT+CGMR.

Yuge? sorry, i don’t know that!
I have build the Raspberry Pi 4b source code and reinstalled the kernel. 6.6.69 v8+
Now 3 ttyUSB1, 2, and 3 are recognized. And it was recognized as cdc, not rndis.
Is it really not an EC25 module? <05c6 9059>
I am sure it is not the Quectel EC25.
You can try to send the AT+CGMR via ttyUSB2 or ttyUSB3. And we can see the firmware version of it.

My problem was the SIM card.
I confirmed normal operation using a USIM card from another carrier.
And the chip I had was EC25-EU, but I don’t know why the vendor id(05c6 9059) is unknown.
However, it was still not possible to send AT commands through the serial port.
It was solved.
It might not be Quectel Module. If you think it is Quectel module please show the picture of the module.
