Not sure this is the correct category. I have an question on the EC2X series 4G dongle.
As the dongle implements DHCP service and will assign the host an internal IP, like 192.168.225.xxx, I can’t see the public IP the dongle is assigned. Is there a way that I can SSH to my host through the dongle from outside?
@FelixCheng-Q@silvia On later 5G modules such as RM551E-GL and RM520N-GL, is public IPv4 and IPv6 IP supported so inward SSH connection etc. is possible?
For some older modem, I read on the forum that it would never have a public IP.
The DMZ function appears to be intended to support the public IP - DMZ means to forward incoming TCP (and UDP?) connections that come in to the public IP, to an IPv4 and IPv6 IP number on the LAN.
