How to get a static IP with QMI or MBIM modes?

Hello,

I have a few Quectel modules (EC25, EP06, etc), I am trying to get them to give me a static internal IP, which I am able to get when using ECM mode (running AT+QCFG=“usbnet”,1).

However, ECM mode seems to be using PPP, which is much slower than QMI and MBIM, is there a way for me to use ECM with QMI or to get a static internal IP with it?

Ecm dialing is not ppp, these are two different dialing protocols. ecm dialing is much faster than ppp rate

Hey,

When I use ECM mode, I can see that a new ppp interface appears on my server, why is this happening if ECM doesn’t use ppp?

also, is ECM comparable in speed to QMI?
