GPS data is Laching

I am using EC200 and designed PCB by refering the Hardware documentation in this GNSS was not latching as it is showing +CME ERROR: 516. Tried by updating the firmware of the EC200 module but then also the GPS was not latching. I am using Passive GPS antenna.
I have attached the image of schematic and track designed in PCB is it correct?

May I know which EC200 you are using? either EC200U or EC200N?

Hi Shubham,

  • The error +CME ERROR: 516 typically indicates GNSS antenna or signal issue.
  • You are using a passive GPS antenna, which requires proper impedance matching and minimal loss in the RF path.
  • The single-ended impedance of the RF antenna is 50 Ω.
  • To improve receiver sensitivity, ensure that the clearance among antennas is appropriate.
