Galileo HAS on the LG290p

Hi Raphael-Q,
I would also love to try Galileo HAS to evaluate if it is relieable and accurate enough for me to replace NTRIP, could you also please send me the new firmware once it is ready?
Best regards
Geno

Hi everyone.
No news on the new firmware yet?
Best regards

Hello, Quectel.
Could you please inform us about the progress of the new firmware with Galileo HAS fixes?
Can we help with anything?
We’re looking forward to it.
Best regards

Hello.
We’re silent again from Quectel.
Today is almost August 20th, and we still have no news regarding the Galileo HAS corrections.
Can you provide us with any valid and accurate information?
Best regards
Angel

Any update on this HAS implementation?

It’s from August 12th for testing only, dispatched only yesterday…!!
Please give feedback on the Sparkfun forum as it appears on this forum that moderators are/use bots!
For enable and set fix rate to 1Hz (do not work) so U must put module as in base_mode

$PQTMCFGFIXRATE,W,1000*59 fix rate to 1Hz is mandatory but do not work!
$PQTMRESTOREPAR*13
$PQTMCFGRCVRMODE,W,2*29
$PQTMCFGMSGRATE,W,RTCM3-107X,0,0*2E
$PQTMCFGPPP,W,2,1,120,0.10,0.15*68 enable HAS PPP feature
$PQTMCFGPPP,R*74 for ask & get response
$PQTMCFGMSGRATE,W,GGA,1*0A
$PQTMSAVEPAR*5A
$PQTMSRR*4B reboot

also $PQTMGNSSSTOP*09 do not work (self restarting).

Thanks @Bamarcant.
We’ll be testing.
For now, I’m a bit frustrated, as the results aren’t very good.
I don’t know if it’s because of my small helical antenna, even though I have a clear view.
I never know if the position is actually fixed or floating.
After 25 minutes, it seems to become more stable.
It’s a very interesting start. Waiting for improvements to the calculation algorithm in new firmware.

Angel

Don’t worry, nmea 4 , 5 and 6 are not for indicate PPP (but)
the 5 forcibly indicates when PPP (have) a solution, so it is not float but PPP_HAS solution.
U must compare this solution at known points…

we should use this configuration for testing it on the beta released on sparkfun forum? which is the correct one?

they just mention ```
$PQTMCFGPPP,W,2,1

Question:
At some point in the future, after convergence, will the system indicate a fixed solution?
When I connect the Sparkfun Postcard RTK to my controller with Landstar 8, it quickly indicates a floating solution, but the accuracy indicated by the program is never less than 70 cm, and on the Portability Protector screen, it is never less than 1.30 m.
These are very different values.
With very clear skies,
The accuracy results compared after taking multiple data points are around 15 cm to 40 cm.
I’ll share them when I can.
If anyone can explain, I’d appreciate it.
Thanks.

Quectel people.
A firmware fix has been released for Galileo HAS.
Officially, we haven’t received much feedback or suggestions from users who have been struggling with this for months.
Would you be so kind as to give us any comments or guidance on the new firmware?
For example, why were DPI fixes released based on an older version?
We’ve lost several improvements achieved over the last year due to age.
Are there technical issues preventing this?
I’d like some clarification on fixes and floating solutions based on these Galileo HAS fixes. For now, they’re all interpreted as floating.
Do the 10 cm horizontal and 15 cm vertical restrictions, which are recommended, really restrict the internal calculation of the solution?
We look forward to your comments and are available to collaborate on improving the firmware.
Best regards
Angel

Hello friends.
After several tests with the new firmware, the LG290P is giving me data of all kinds of quality.
Now, yesterday I disabled GLONASS and BEIDOU, and it seems to be working much better.
I’ve managed to repeat two data series with values <20 CM, just as Galileo promised at 95%.
Any coincidence?
Will I be able to do it again tomorrow? I don’t know.
I’m asking if you can configure it that way and run your tests.
We’ll share the data later.
Regards
Angel

Hello, Quectel.
Any official updates on the new firmware with Galileo HAS?
I’d really appreciate your feedback on this topic.
Best regards

Hi amlago

I’m sorry to inform you that the official standard version of the PPP function is still under optimization.

Best regards

Hi @jasper
It’s clear that the Galileo HAS corrections aren’t optimized yet.
What we want to know is what stage they’re at, since we’ve been testing beta firmware versions with PPP capability for a couple of months now.
Any new and specific information on the subject?
Any date for a possible v07 with PPP capability?

Regards
