Forcing A3 Event for Handover on RM500Q-GL

Hello Quectel Team,

I am working with the Quectel RM500Q-GL module and trying to force a handover by triggering an A3 event. However, I couldn’t find a direct AT command or method to invoke the A3 event manually.

Could you please confirm if there is any way to:

  1. Manually trigger an A3 event to force handover.
  2. Adjust parameters (like hysteresis, threshold, or measurement reporting) to influence A3 event triggering.
  3. Monitor event A3 triggers using AT commands.

Any guidance on AT commands or other methods to achieve this would be greatly appreciated.

A3 events or related switching parameters are determined by the base station, and the module or terminal can only perform switching related measurements and operations according to these parameters. Therefore, you cannot control by the module or AT command, you can only observe whether the switching behavior and rsrp of the modem meet the A3 threshold
