Hello everyone,
I am a long-term user of Quectel modules and have successfully integrated them into various projects. Recently, I received a newly assembled batch of my custom GPS tracking PCBs utilizing LC76GPAMD modules. However, I am currently facing a critical issue with this new batch.
These new modules are experiencing signal drops and coordinate freezing. For example, while the device is moving at high speeds in a vehicle, the coordinates suddenly freeze and do not recover for tens of kilometers (the module keeps outputting the exact same coordinates). Meanwhile, all other NMEA parameters (time, satellite count, etc.) continue to update normally.
Please note that the Static Navigation filter is already disabled, and all other parameters are set to factory defaults.
The firmware version on these problematic modules is: $PQTMVERNO,LC76GPANR12A04S,2024/12/16,10:55:20*26
To troubleshoot, I replaced the GNSS module on one of the new boards with an older LC76GPAMD module I had from a previous batch. The device immediately started working perfectly and with absolute stability. The firmware versions on those stable modules are: $PQTMVERNO,LC76GPANR12A02S,2023/07/03,09:27:58*25 $PQTMVERNO,LC76GPANR12A03S,2024/04/14,15:42:19*2D
To resolve this issue and standardize our ongoing production, could the Quectel support team please provide me with the firmware files for these stable versions?
-
LC76GPANR12A02S (Primary preference)
-
LC76GPANR12A03S (Backup)
Additionally, please include the appropriate Flash Tool and instructions so I can successfully downgrade/flash my current batch of modules via UART.
Thank you for your support and assistance.
Best regards.
