I have Quectel LC29H(BA) GPS module firmware ver. LC29HBANR11A04S_CSA4,2024/02/28,18:04:54
I need to use this module in RTK rover mode but it gives only 3D fix and responds with error 3 when trying to enable rover mode through $PQTMCFGRCVRMODE,W,1 and even get info $PQTMCFGRCVRMODE,R gives error 3. Looks like something is disabled in firmware.
I kindly ask you to provide me appropriate firmware to use RTK capabilities of this module. Email aldis.pinkens@gmail.com
It might be obvious but is the command complete?
Error 3 = Unsupported command…
try $PAIR003*39 disable gnss $PQTMVERNO*58 $PAIR514*3A Clear the current configuration and restore the default settings. $PQTMRESTOREPAR*13 restore default $PAIR513*3D save file system $PQTMSAVEPAR*5A save parameters $PAIR511*3F Save current navigation data from RTC RAM to flash $PAIR023*3B → reboot
ask for a copy of fw and reflash.
here a tread:
Thanks for your help! Yes, I enter full commands, including correct checksums. Just my module doesn’t accept several PQ commands, not only for writing but also for reading current status. The same time I can correctly read FW version PQTMVERNO so this confirms I’m doing everything right.
I will try new FW what support just sent me.
Hi June!
I have successfully upgraded FW (now it is LC29HBANR11A05S_CSA4, 2024/12/11, 14:34:43) and also it is possible to change $PQTMCFGRCVRMODE,W,1 now.
I have succesfully connected to NTRIP caster, receiving some bytes from it as response to sent request. Satellite count is stable 25-30.
But still no signs of RTK, RTK float/RTK fix is 0.
I’m using QGNSS v.2.1.
Hi @June_Zhu,
I’m experiencing the same issue with the GPS module running firmware version LC29HBANR11A04S_CSA4, 2024/02/28.
Could you please provide me with the firmware file as well?
I’m working on an autonomous marine vessel project and currently managing RTK functionality.
Also, I wanted to ask if it’s possible to perform the firmware upgrade remotely via a terminal interface (e.g., serial or SSH), since I don’t have access to any GUI tools for this operation.
I think there is something wrong with your caster. Is it for L1+L5? It supports the RTCM protocol which is in accordance with RTCM Standard 10403.3 Differential GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite Systems) Services - Version 3.
