You can upgrade your ORBI LBR20 with the stock Quectel firmware if you have the qfirehose binary for that platform.

You can flash-upgrade the latest snapshot of Openwrt router firmware for the LBR20, using the stock Netgear firmware upgrade web page on the Orbi LBR20 interface:
‘Error new users can only post one link per post, and one post per 24 hours’ - FIX THIS! The ‘link’ is downloads openwrt dot org snapshots/targets/ipq40xx/generic/openwrt-ipq40xx-generic-netgear_lbr20-squashfs-factory.img
To revert to the Netgear firmware, follow the directions at: openwrt dot org toh/netgear/lbr20#oem_installation_using_the_tftp_method
That wiki page above, also has the instructions on how to use the qfirehose to flash the Quectel firmware.

After reading new features of R01A13 I think I prefer to update to R01A12 instead, because if it fails I won’t be able to downgrade.
