Firmware for EC200UCNAA-N05-SGNSA

My EC200U is running firmware version EC200UCNAAR03A13M08. I am just curious if there’s any new firmware available. Also is there anyway to upload the firmware from linux computer ?

I haven’t yet tested it while moving, but altitude is showing wrong (should be around 112m) as well as even when I am stationary, the results coming are noisy. sometimes as far as 4-5m away which is beyond the position accuracy of this product.

So I am wondering if it there is any new firmware available to try with.

can you please share firmware? i am using QPY_OCPU_BETA0001_EC200U_AUAA_FW.bin and my code only lasts 27min.

about the gps, it sucks. mine jumps 2 to 20m being stationary( hdop 0.8, 18 satellites.)

I dont know how to extract firmware from the module. I dont think this module will serve my purpose because I need better precision. I just tried uBlox NEO-M9N yesterday and that is really giving great results. Gaussian distribution produced by the M9N has nice bell curve in it. But I really want to try Quectel’s performance as I am more inclined to use their product and ordered a breakout board for LC29H which seems to be the right choice for my need. I can only confirm after I receive the board.

Another point to note is the firmware for my device is CN type and its primarily for asian countries which may not work at your place. However I found an older version and I didnt try that yet and its version is EC200UCNAAR02A09M08. I dont know if this version will work for you but if you need I can send over.

One thing I must tell is that this EC200U probably is not suitable for moving object and if it is a stationary device, averaging the location yields workable position detection and is good too. For my case its for moving object so I dropped the idea to use EC200U.

you are probably right, your fw might not suit mine bands.

regarding the gps i have done many tests with FW: QPY_OCPU_BETA0001_EC200U_AUAA_FW.bin and with FW: \QPY_OCPU_V0001_EC200U_AUAA_FW.pac and both have the gps problem.

BUT, for moving object the device service pretty good for its bad stationary gps, it does has some weird behavior but overall it give the performance if you are not looking into high precision.

i conducted tests with ATGM332D-5NR32 and it gave much more superior results in coordinates but not in satellites view, which is funny.
