FCS960K's USB Driver Support

Hello,

We have designed the FCS960K-E (P/N FCS960KEAAMD) onto our own carrier board. Our host SoM is an NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX, which does not expose an SDIO controller, so we need to drive the module over USB.

Our distributor has confirmed that FCS960K-E supports USB, and that it is used via the SDK rather than AT commands. We have obtained the GitLab SDK “rf-aic8800”, but we can only find SDIO build targets — no USB driver for FCS960K.

  1. Does rf-aic8800 contain a USB build target for FCS960K-E? If so, which defconfig/build flag selects it, and what VID:PID does the module enumerate as?
  2. If not — is the FCU760K USB driver source usable with FCS960K-E? Are these the same underlying silicon, and if so are there RF or calibration differences that would make reuse unsafe?
  3. If neither path is supported, do you recommend FCU760K instead for a USB-attached design?

Host kernel: currently Linux 5.10 (L4T 35.5 / JetPack 5.1.3), target Linux 5.15 (L4T 36.4 / JetPack 6.2).

Best regards,
Emre Baser
