FC41D UART security

Hi,

we are testing FC41D for our application and it works perfectly. We have just only few doubts about potential cybersecurity vulnerabilities.

  1. The Debug UART or the Main UART could be used for uploadiang malicious firmware? Is there any secure boot feature?
  2. With the command “AT+QSTAAPINFO=[,]” we sent via the main UART both the SSID and the password access of the WLAN. If someone have access to the UART pins he could potentially get WLAN SSID and password. How we could avoid this situation? Have you some hints?

Thank you in advance for your support.

Best regards

hi @UTech
for uart security or secure_boot , currently we don’t support .
If you are Quectel’s customer then you can put your concern on our support platforms like E-service or Jira then we can check into details as it requires alot of work to be done.

Thanks

Hi Waleed,

thanks for the reply.

At the moment we are not already Quectel’s customer, we are evaluating the product. I am in contact with your local contact but at the moment we found no workaround.

How could I put my concern on Jira? Should I create an account on this site?
