EM160 Stopped working in Win11 “Configuring Mobile Broadband Device 0%”

Hi Guys,

I have a problem with my EM160R-GL LTE module in ThinkPad T15 Gen2.

The LTE module has worked without issue up until yesterday.
A dialog appeared stating “Configuring Mobile Broadband Device” with a bar at 0%
after several mintues it stayed at 0% and then disappeared.
Now the LTE module doesn’t appear as a functional device!

Checking device status in Device manager I can see the following:

Quectel PCI Express Working properly 1.0.0.18

Quectel UDE Device Working properly 1.0.0.10

High Speed USB Composite device (UDE) Working Properly 3.0.0.2 Device Started

Quectel QMUX Interconnect Working properly 1.0.89.5 Device not started (Qmux) Problem Status: 0xC00000E5 Location: 0000.0000.0000.002.000.000.000.000.000

Quectel EM160R-GL Code 43-Cannot start. 10.0.22621.1 Device not started (cxwmbclass) Problem Status: 0xC00000E5 Location0000.0000.0000.002.000.000.000.000.000

I’ve removed the drivers in Device manager and re-added with no sucess.

What can I do next?

Can someone help me please.

Thank you.

Hi,It is suggested that you can give priority to contact Lenovo after-sales service, because the module USB driver on Lenovo computer is customized and developed by Lenovo. According to your description, it is possible that the current driver and the system are not compatible resulting in the normal work. It is suggested that you contact Lenovo after-sales service to consult whether you need to update the driver? I hope this is helpful. Thank you.

Thank you for the prompt reply - I’ll raise a query with Lenovo.

Thanks,

P.
