EM12-G why never gets 4G+

I have an EM12-G module and I don’t know why it never get an LTE-A connection but only 4G (sorry I don’t know the correct technical words)

In the EM12 module I used the sim card on my Samsumg SM-G950F phone. My phone does get LTE-A 4G+ connection

So, I don’t understand why the EM12-G module never gets 4G+ when I use the same sim card as my phone and put the module in the same location on the phone where it gets 4G+ connection.

extra information: I tried with two sim cards from another company and it allowed me to get CA in both companies …

OK

Here I leave information about my phone and the module located in the same place using the same sim card on the same day.

Hi,
Thanks for your query in Quectel forums.
The module currently has no way to obtain 4G+ and other information through AT commands, and the obtained network standard is the same as LTE, because LTE-A also belongs to LTE.
thanks.

What…I paid a lot of money for this module EM12-G and actually is working like my EC25 Cat4

Why you can not said me how get CA with this sh*t module?

I believe that by “4G+” @mynameis means he isn’t getting carrier aggregation on the EM12-G.
His tower allows his phone to carrier aggregate band 7 and band 28 but the em12-G isn’t allowing that to happen. According to EM12 Hardware Design v1.1 it seems like b7+b28 should allow 2x CA? Curious as to what the solution is to this issue as well, cheers.

@User55 Hi, what exactly means 2xCA b7+b28 ? If my phone is connected to b28 its mean that also can be conected to b7 + b28 again I mean, PCC b28 + SCC b7+b28 ¿¿¿¿???

there is no decent answer

I’ll delete the post, bye

EDIT: admin delete post please do a good job thanks

Hi,
Thanks for your query in Quectel forums.
LTE-A itself also belongs to LTE, but the rate of LTE-A is higher than cat4. Our module cannot display 4G+ like a mobile phone, but you can test the uplink and downlink rate of the LTE-A module through a comprehensive tester and other instruments. It must be higher than the cat4 module.
thanks.

@Kerr.Yang-Q when will be available the EP06-LA

Hi,
Thanks for your query in Quectel forums.
EP06-ELA can currently be purchased from our dealers or original manufacturers. The latest version is EP06ELAR03A08M4G.
thanks.

@Kerr.Yang-Q EP06-LA is EP06-ELA ???

ep-la

Hi,
Thanks for your query in Quectel forums.
Sorry, there is no news of EP06-LA mass production yet, so stay tuned.
thanks.

Hi @Kerr.Yang-Q, is it possible to clarify this issue? I was planning to order an EM12-G because it supports LTE Cat 12. But from this thread I’m quite confused. The maximum it supports is Cat 4? Like @mynameis, I also have an EC25 and now I want to go a step further in DL and UL speed and started to look to the EM12-G.

Thanks for your query in Quectel forums.
Hi, EM12-G supports CAT12, thank you.
