EM06A - ECM mode - no IPv6 delegation

Hello,

We (ROOter team) have found that EP06 and EM06 modules in ECM mode are not delegating IPv6 addresses even when they are properly connected and receiving an IPv6 address from the carrier. We have encountered this with all EP06 and EM06 we’ve tried so far (at least -A and -E of both tested), and all in situations where the same tested module delegates IPv6 successfully if switched to QMI or MBIM mode. This problem occurs only in ECM.

Is this a known issue/limitation with Ex06? If this issue was not known but you can reproduce, might a fix be available?

I have an EM06-A available to test right now currently running firmware EM06ALAR03A05M4G, and can update to newest firmware if recommended. This modem is showing a live public IPv6 address in response to AT+CGPADDR right now.

ECM mode should also works well with ipv6.
Make sure that you have set the PDP with the ip type IPV4V6 or IPV6.

If not, you need to check whether the ipv6 packet is received by RS and RA.
