I am encountering issues with establishing 4G/LTE connection using EM061K-GL in Fedora 43. I have two SIM cards. Both work well in Windows 11. However, I do not have an idea how to properly establish a connection in Fedora. Fedora’s environment still gives me pop-ups saying ‘Connection lost’.
By the way, the specification of EM061K-GL says it has an optional eSIM. How to use it? I have checked user guide. Maybe there is a proper information, but I have not found it yet.
Thanks for the response. Meanwhile, I found out what caused the above issue. I use EM061K-GL in Thinkpad L14 Gen5. The device, therefore, needs to be FCC-unlocked. There is an official script for that on Lenovo’s Github profile. However, it did not work very well in Fedora 43 but did work in Linux Mint 22.3, except it needed to be slightly modified.
Below I reproduce the steps that allowed me to use EM061K-GL in Linux Mint after every boot:
