EM06 in Debian - recognized but no response

I just installed an EM06-A in my server, which runs Debian on Kernel 5.15.83-1, however, I’m stuck on trying to get the modem to respond.

I can see the device in dmesg, it is shown on several ttyUSB’s… ls-usb and usb-devices both show the device listed with the proper name. And, I see wwan0 listed in “ip link”, and also I see the /dev/cdc-wdm0 listed. So by all accounts, it looks like it’s being recognized and installed by the operating system.

However, if i use mmcli, it doesn’t show any modems, and if I try to use minicom to connect to any of four ttyUSB’s listed in dmesg, only one of the four shows online, and it doesn’t respond to anything - no response to AT or ATI.

I’m not entlrely sure where to go next. Suggestions?

I found another bit of information using libqmi rather than modemmanager, and i’m seeing some details from the device now, so that’s a start
