To further assist you on the eSIM issue, you could do the following:
If possible to access the module physically, please check the OC name:
EM05GFA-128-SGNSNE: without built-in eSIM chip
EM05GFA-128-SGNS: with built-in eSIM chip
Although the EM05-G supports eSIM in its design, not all physical sub-variants include the necessary eUICC (embedded SIM) chip.
It is possible that the NVIDIA Jetson is using the variant without the built-in eSIM chip
Thank you for confirming that the module variant is EM05GFA-128-SGNS, which includes the built-in eSIM (eUICC).
Since the EM05-G module is embedded and supplied as part of the NVIDIA Jetson platform, the eSIM functionality (including eUICC access, profile provisioning, and enablement) can also depend on NVIDIA’s platform integration, such as:
Hardware routing and power control for the eUICC
BSP / kernel configuration on the Jetson
Any platform-level restrictions or customizations applied by NVIDIA
From the Quectel side, the module itself supports eSIM on supported firmware, but we do not have visibility or control over how the module is integrated and initialized on the Jetson carrier/platform.
Therefore, we kindly recommend contacting NVIDIA support to confirm:
Whether eSIM functionality is enabled on their Jetson platform
If any additional BSP configuration or drivers are required for eSIM access
Whether eSIM-related AT commands are supported or restricted in their implementation
Once NVIDIA confirms the platform-level support, we’ll be happy to continue assisting from the module and firmware perspective if needed.
