I bricked my EG915U-LA while trying to flash OpenCPU (QPY_OCPU_V0001_EG915U_LAAC_FW.pac). I accidentally used “Erase All Flash” in ResearchDownload. Now it’s stuck in a Boot Loop (USB connects/disconnects endlessly).
Status:
Power: Verified stable (VBAT is OK, added caps). It’s not a brownout.
Flash: I can enter Download Mode (BOOT pin), flashing finishes with “Passed”, but the loop continues immediately after reboot.
I suspect I wiped the NV/RF calibration and the OpenCPU FW can’t boot without it.
I need:
The correct Standard FW (STD) for EG915U-LA to try and recover the partitions.
Any advice on how to restore the NV/RF data after an “Erase All”.
The behavior you described is consistent with a module that can still enter download mode and complete flashing, but fails immediately after reset and repeatedly re-enumerates on USB. This commonly occurs after using “Erase All Flash” because critical non-volatile partitions/configuration may be removed, and an OpenCPU package alone typically does not restore the full factory/NV contents required for a normal boot.
Recommended recovery is to force the module into official download mode for EG915U-LA (BOOT/USB_BOOT method per the hardware guide for your variant) and then flash a complete Standard Firmware package that exactly matches your EG915U-LA variant (full STD .pac, not only OpenCPU). During recovery, do not enable “Erase All Flash” or any NV erase options. After flashing, verify whether the module can boot stably and enumerate normally.
