Hi Quectel Team,
We are currently working with the EG915U-EU module and would like to request clarification regarding its current consumption behavior during LTE data transmission.
The Hardware Design doc specifies a typical current of 774 mA (LTE-FDD B7 @ 22.01 dBm), which appears to be the highest typical value listed. However, it also states that the power supply should support peak currents of up to 1 A on VBAT_BB and 2.5 A on VBAT_RF. Can we assume these peak values are primarily associated with GSM voice call modes—could you please confirm whether similar peaks may also occur during LTE data transmission, particularly under poor signal conditions or high throughput?
Additionally, in reference to the voltage stability requirements and assuming LTE data transmission, could you provide information on the typical or maximum expected duration of burst transmissions? This data is critical for ensuring our power supply design meets performance and reliability requirements.
Thank you in advance for your support.
