EG912U-GL not happy on Verizon network

The EG912U does not remain connected to Verizon in the USA.

It works for a few minutes, then the module seems to reset.

I get the impression that it is being rejected by the network.

The same modem works reliably on other networks
(specifically T-mobile/iot.1nce.net)

Is this a certification issue?

It might be an issue with the APN or the authentication.

I’m using vzwinternet, as in:

AT+CGDCONT=1,“ip”,“vzwinternet”

I’ve also tried:

AT+CGDCONT=3,“ip”,“vzwinternet”
as Verizon default to using cid #3 in many cases.

The same sim card works reliably in a SIMcom A7672G
among others.

If it were an authentication problem, why would it transfer data for a few minutes before failing? When it fails, the EG912U disconnects AND all the USB endpoints reenumerate.

The EG912U is rock solid on T-mobile, but we need Verizon for its superior rural coverage.

Please provide the version of your current firmware.
