EG91, BG95, GNSS GPRMC location - does it include Glonass, Galileo by default

Hello,

If I take EG91 or BG95 in default state:

AT+QGPSCFG=“gpsnmeatype”,31
AT+QGPSCFG=“glonassnmeatype”,0
AT+QGPSCFG=“galileonmeatype”,0
AT+QGPSCFG=“gnssconfig”,1

Is the location in the GPRMC NMEA sentence calculated using GPS, Glonass and Galileo satellites, or only GPS satellites.
Thank you.

Dear Sdt99,
Thanks for your inquiry in Quectel forum.
If you set it to default parameters, the location calculated will use GPS, Glonass , Beidou and Galileo satellites. Of course, the module should received the all satellites. Thanks!

Thank you for the quick reply. Unfortunately I do not see evidence of Galileo support, in Boston, MA, USA.

I do see Glonass satellites reported (GLGSV) if I enable AT+QGPSCFG=“glonassmeatype”,1)

I do NOT see any Galileo satellites reported (GNGSV) with AT+QGPSCFG=“galileonmeatype”,1)

This is on both the EG91 and BG95M1. Could you confirm that these modems support Galileo when in the USA ?

Dear Sdt99,
Yes, the module can support Galileo. You should confirm whether there can receive the Galileo satellites, you can try to change the GNSS antenna, and use another contrast instrument to confirm whether it exist the Galileo satellites in your area. Thanks!
