Hello Quectel Support,
I have a GPD Win Max 2 with an EG25-GC LTE module experiencing intermittent SIM failures.
Current Module Information:
- Model: EG25-GC
- Current Firmware: EG25GGCR07A02M1G
- Device: GPD Win Max 2
- OS: Windows 11
Problem Description:
The modem intermittently loses SIM detection. When this happens:
- Windows shows “Insert SIM” error
- AT+CPIN? returns: +CME ERROR: 13 (SIM failure)
- AT+CCID and AT+CIMI also return errors
- The USB device remains visible in Device Manager
- AT commands still respond (modem is not disconnected)
Recovery:
- Toggling Airplane Mode ON/OFF recovers the connection
- This indicates a software/firmware state issue, not hardware
Request:
- Please send me the latest firmware for EG25-GC (I understand version 30.202.30.202 or newer may be available)
- Please also send QFlash tool if required for the update
- Any recommended AT+QCFG settings for SIM recovery
