EG25-G usbnet error

I am using EG25-G with at+qcfg=”usbnet”,1 and it seems to work just fine. However, after few days, the internet connection drops and when I get back into the serial console, at+qcfg=”usbnet” returns ERROR. Rebooting the computer does not help to resolve the problem. The problem goes away after powering down the unit and brings it back up.

I have 4 units on 4 different computers with Debian 12 and they all behave the same way. I am wondering if there is firmware update that can solve this problem? Thank you.

Yes, the AT port is functional, GPS works, SIM detected, I can send MQTT messages just fine through AT command. It is just that some AT+QCFG commands return ERROR.
