EG25-G and T-Mobile

Does the EG25-G module generally work on T-Mobile (US) network? I see that certification is “in progress”, I’m just wondering whether it works for other people.

I try to connect like this:
ifconfig wwan0 down
echo Y > /sys/class/net/wwan0/qmi/raw_ip
ifconfig wwan0 up
qmicli -v -d /dev/cdc-wdm0 --wds-start-network=“ip-type=4,apn=‘m2mglobal’” --client-no-release-cid

The result ends with this:

T-Mobile IMEI check says the EG25-G module is OK for non-voice

So I wonder, is this a T-Mobile compatibility problem or something else?
Is there some particular handshake needed to connect to T-Mobile?

Normally, EG25G module have not got T-Mobile certificate, you may can try EC25AF which already get the T-Mobile certificate. Thanks!

I have similar problems with Telia (LT) network and EC25-E module.

On Windows 10 this card doesn’t connect when using custom APN settings. The error:

Connect Failure: Maximum PDP Context activation limit reached.

The error on Linux:

error: couldn't start network: QMI protocol error (14): 'CallFailed'
call end reason (1005): gsm-wcdma-insufficient-resources
verbose call end reason (6,26): [3gpp] insufficient-resources

For your issue, it is better to check whether the module have register on network successful. Thanks!

Yes, it registers, sees the operator, but cannot connect.

If that, it may need to catch module debug log to analyze the reason. Before that please confirm your test environment and test method, could you help share a video to record your test steps. Thanks!

An update:
The distributor contacted the supplier and they sent me the new firmware EC25EFAR06A02M4G.
After the F/W upgrade it started working.
