EG25 Firmware EG25GGBR07A08M2G Pinephone

Hi There,

I’ve updated the Quectel EG25-G modem in my PinePhone with QFirehose. The firmware revision now shows as EG25GGBR07A08M2G.

Ever since the update, the status always seems to show up as “Not Registered” and does not detect the carrier. Before the update, it detected the carrier.

I confirmed the Sim Card is unlocked and works on multiple other phones.

Is there an upgrade for this firmware available? Should I attempt to downgrade it? (if so, how?)

The modem just says “Not Registered” for status no matter I do now even though AT+COPS=? shows the carrier I need to use.

EG-25 Modem Firmware Upgrade

Hi, We are implementing EG-25 Modem Firmware Upgrade(FOTA). We already have EG25GGBR07A08M2G_01.002.01.002 DFOTA file. Could you please provide Current DFOTA file? Current Version is EG25GGBR07A07M2G_01.001.01.001 Provided DFOTA file 24MB in size. Which is huge. Is there any way to reduce DFOTA file(like Patch file) Which can we use for modem firmware upgrade?

For the first one, I can’t get to the point of making calls.
For the second one, if I’m supposed to I’m not exactly sure how I’d flash it.

The last thing I did was flash recovery on QDL, but it still shows “Not Registered” in modem status, whereas initially it showed the carrier.
