EG 25G is not connecting to airte M2M Airtel SIM

We’ve been using the EG 25G module in India, and while it works perfectly when shipped to Europe, we’ve experienced frequent disconnections when used in India. We were recently advised to use a 5dB antenna, which initially improved the performance. However, some modules are still experiencing connection issues even with the 5dB antenna. Notably, the modules are responding to SMS commands. Here’s the response we received from the SMS INFO and Google: The GSM signal is strong, and the APN is set to airteliot.com.

We believe that if we can lock the band to LTE, 4G, and 2G, it may start working as it has a much broader band available. Is there an AT Command available to do that?

Hi @Cognecto
You can use the AT+QCFG=“BAND”, AT+QCFG=“NWSCANMODE”, and AT+QCFG=“NWSCANMODEEX” commands to check whether the current module has a restricted band or network format. In addition, AT+QCFG=“NWSCANMODE”,3,1 is the instruction to lock the LTE standard, but this instruction is only suitable for debugging use, for commercial modules, we strongly do not recommend doing so, if the use of this instruction in commercial modules to lock the standard problems, we will not be responsible.
