EC25-E on Ubuntu 22.04

Hello,
we plan using EC25-E mPCI inside our embedded device. Now I have EC25-E USB to test it running on Ubuntu 22.04 (kernel 6.8). I am a complete newbie with modems. How can I perform this task ?

mmcli -L returns “No modems were found”, so I assume I lack driver support

Please check

lsusb -t

Nothing:

The USB device is not recognized.

dmesg | grep -i usb
Seems something with the usb enumeration.

Note: ttyUSB0 is my other console device. It does not relate to EC25

sudo dmesg | grep -i usb

It is better to check the hardware first. The Linux host cannot recognize the USB device.

You are right, the problem was USB port power limitations.
Now I get PPP interface:

7: wwx021cd05ca256: <POINTOPOINT,MULTICAST,NOARP,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 1500 qdisc fq_codel state UNKNOWN group default qlen 1000
    link/none
    inet6 fe80::9091:fd75:ff7f:c3ef/64 scope link stable-privacy
       valid_lft forever preferred_lft forever

that appears in Ubuntu Settings->Mobile Network. BUT ! I constantly get No SIM message (I am sure, I plugged SIM in)

mmcli -m 0
Please check whether it is registerred.

Yes. I guess the SIM card is not detected.
