EC25-E on Ubuntu 20

Hi,i have installed on my rugged pc a Quectel EC25E ( lsusb returns Bus 001 Device 004: ID 0424:2514 Microchip Technology, Inc. (formerly SMSC) USB 2.0 Hub) so it’s recognize. But if i go to settings> mobile broadcast and try to create a new connection ( with sim insert in slot 1 and all antennas mounted) it doesn’t work; basically no connection are saved and if i try to create a new connection (for the second time) i’ cant do it. It seems like is something wrong. Can you help me? My kernel version is 5.15.0-117-generic.

output.txt (5.5 KB)

Sorry i just see right now that i paste the wrong output of lsusb. the right one is:Bus 001 Device 005: ID 2c7c:0125 Quectel Wireless Solutions Co., Ltd. EC25 LTE modem.
I’m so sorry for the error

Yes, this is your modem, currently in QMI mode.

So it’s recognized perfect.
But I’m not able to set a new connection form the settings. is there something else i can check to see if all is working well? Thank you

Forget about “settings” for a while and use a terminal app like picocom to see if the modem is registered, etc.
