Hello,
I'm using an EC25-E module (mini PCIe, no external audio codec) on
Ubuntu 24.04 with Asterisk 20 and chan_quectel for incoming voice calls.
Module info:
- AT+QGMR: EC25EFAR06A06M4G_01.006.01.006
- Operator: Digi Romania (MCC/MNC 226-05)
- AT+QMBNCFG="list" has no profile for Romania (only ROW_Generic,
VF_Germany, TF_Spain, Bouygues, Telstra, etc.)
Current status:
- Voice works only on 2G. I had to lock the module to GSM with
AT+QCFG="nwscanmode",1,1 because on LTE incoming calls are rejected
("phone switched off"), since IMS/VoLTE is disabled (AT+QCFG="ims" = 0,0).
- There is no 3G service in my area, so 2G is the only voice option today.
- To get audio working I set AT+QDAI=1,0,0,4,0,0,1,1 (the default
3,0,0,4,... expects an ALC5616 codec that my board doesn't have).
With that, voice over USB serial works (AT+QPCMV=1,0).
- In UAC mode (USBCFG with UAC=1, AT+QPCMV=1,2) only downlink works:
the remote party doesn't hear the audio sent over USB.
- AT+QMIC? / AT+QRXGAIN? makes the module stop responding on all AT
ports until a full power cycle.
Request:
Could you please provide the latest firmware for EC25-E (EFAR) that
supports VoLTE on Digi Romania (226-05), with working voice over USB
(UAC and/or USB serial), and the QFirehose tool for Linux to flash it?
Since 2G networks are being shut down, VoLTE is the only long-term
option for voice on this module.
Thank you!
I have sent the latest firmware and update tool to your email, pls check and try again
