I am using the Quectel EC200A-EU LTE module integrated into a MikroTik LtAP mini LTE kit (model RB912R-2nD-LTm&EC200A-EU). The current firmware version installed on the modem is:
EC200AEUHAR01A19M16
I would like to request the latest available firmware for this module to ensure optimal compatibility and performance with RouterOS 7.18.2.
Could you please provide me with:
The latest firmware image (in .zip or .mbn format)
The latest QFlash tool (if needed)
Any related documentation or flashing instructions
We’re also experiencing an issue where certain LTE modules repeatedly drop their connection. The uptime is usually around 10 minutes before they reconnect, and the logs don’t reveal anything useful.
Could you explain why the firmware update fails? Without OTA updates, we currently have to physically bring in dozens of devices to update them manually via a PCIe adapter. Are there any alternative methods?
In Mikrotik’s changelog for version 7.18, they mention:
lte – R11eL-EC200A-EU fixed online firmware upgrade and added support for firmware update from local file
lte – R11eL-EC200A-EU improved failed connection handling and recovery
I’m currently running 7.18.2.
In 7.19, they note:
lte – improved dialer for EC200A-EU modem
lte – fixed EC200A-EU APN authentication
Could this issue be related to what’s fixed in version 7.19? Would simply updating to 7.19 be sufficient, or is the modem firmware upgrade still required?
A release note for the latest modem firmware, along with instructions on how to perform the upgrade, would be greatly appreciated.
