Does "No communication with Cut-in Unit - Channel" sound Quectel-related?

Hi,
I have four identical IoT devices, three of which I upgraded without issue. However, one will not enter the flash process because of the error “Hardware failure: Peripheral failure. No communication with Cut-in Unit-Channel.”
The manufacturer tech says “this hints” at a hardware failure outside of their device. I pointed out that three identical devices operated fine one at a time on the same system. So, now I am trying to figure out what this error message really means and I am wondering if it is anything any of you have seen related to the device trying to talk to a Quectel modem. If this messge makes sense in some other hardware context in IoT, please let me know.

hello, could you tell us your module type or firmware version? thanks

Hi,
The device is enclosed in a transparent plastic dome which makes it a bit difficult to read, but I believe the type is BG600L-M3. The manufacturer’s technician claimed it was something external I connected. This morning I removed everything from the device except for power and I still have the error. I would like to find something to prove to the technician that it is an internal problem and if this error message is familiar to anyone, regardless of if the BG600L is directly involved or not, I would be very interested.

Thank you!
