My network operator Three Ireland recently replaced its 4G band 1 carrier with a second band 3 carrier (earfcn 1275). Before this change, the RG502Q-EA would connect with 3CA across 4G bands 1, 3 and 28 (earfcn 100 + 1700 + 9360), usually with upload carrier aggregation on band 3.
Since the band change, the RG502Q-EA now connects with 2CA with band 28 and one band 3 carrier, earfcn 1700 with upload carrier aggregation on this band 3 carrier as shown by the output from “at+qcainfo”:
+QCAINFO: “PCC”,9360,50,“LTE BAND 28”,1,399,-88,-9,-63,13
+QCAINFO: “SCC”,1700,100,“LTE BAND 3”,2,30,-97,-14,-62,1,1,100,19700
OK
If I restart the module multiple times, it will occasionally connect with 3CA with band 28 and both band 3 carriers (earfcn 9360 + 1275 + 1700) without upload carrier aggregation, however, it switches to 2CA (9360 + 1700) with upload carrier aggregation a few minutes later.
Is there an AT command to disable upload carrier aggregation on the RG502Q-EA so that it maintains 3CA with both band 3 carriers, i.e. 4G earfcn 9360 + 1275 + 1700?
