Different interface name created by qmi_wwan with RM500Q-GL

I have several SIM cards which are loaded by qmi_wwan on Ubuntu 22.04 using RM500Q-GL and most of them will be assigned to the interface “wwan” where the IP is obtained there.
But I’m wondering why one of my SIM cards uses “wwx2a405923407” as the interface name and the modem manager cannot establish a connection using /dev/cdc-wdm1.

Hi Alan

As I know it has nothing to do with the SIM card.
You can check the kernel log
dmesg | grep wwan
And you could see that the wwx2a405923407 is renamed from wwanX.

For why it is cdc-wdm1 please provide the dmesg log.
As I guess, the device might have had restarted and the /dev/cdc-wdm0 is occupied by another program.
