is the EC25-E module capable to lock onto GSM base stations using the latest firmware? I am aware that it was not possible four years ago. Has the firmware been updated to allow it? Or are there severe hardware restrictions that I am unaware of?

Do you mean the network standard is only configured as GSM?

the EC25-E uses the AT+QNWLOCK="common/lte", ... command to lock onto specific LTE cells. Is there any way to lock onto a GSM frequency with the latest firmware?
