Connecting RM502Q-GL to UpBoard Square Pro over PCIe

Hi,

we have several RM502Q-GL 5G modules that are currently mounted on an USB dongle. Recently we got couple of UpBoards and are considering to connect quectel 5G module directly to these UpBoard via PCIe interface.
We have two concerns: We would have to change the data_interface from USB to PCIe using the at command AT+QCFG, however in the NOTE section it is stated that host has to have an ARM system and the UpBoard has Intel x86.
Second, if we change the data_interface to PCI, there is no going back until we make the PCI communication to work.

Can you point me to some additional documentation or say if this would work or not?

thanks for the response. Can you please specify from which document this screenshot is taken and if possible point me to the corresponding driver? To verify, the option does not depend on the host’s architecture? It can also be Intel x86.
