BG96 seems to be rebooting all the time

Hi,

I try to work with a BG96 on a dragino IOT shield and an arduino UNO.
I can send AT commands to the unit but get some strange results.
It keeps saying RDY and APPRDY and is mostly unresponsive.
Sometimes it accepts an AT command and will behave normally.
Is the unit rebooting all the time?
Why is that?

Here is some of the output:

Are you using a SoC (SIM On Chip)?

This is what I have.

So I can see you are using a nanoSIM.

I was asking you about the kind of SIM, because it was known a bug related to SoC (Sim on Chips) in previous FW from BC66NBR01A10 on BC66 module with a similar behaviour.

Are you sure that you have enough current to power supply the module? You know that this kind of modules needs at least 500mA.

thank you Oscar!
I will look into the power supply.

I’ve checked the power supply, no problem there. 5V stable. But after a few resets the unit responds as it should now.
Next up is to establish a data connection, so far without success.
Can it work in EU?
I’ve got it until here:
