BG96 scans for too long

Hi,

I am new to Quectel products and I just started testing the BG96MA module with the IoT click 2 board.

I am seeing that it takes about 30 minutes (I have seen others having the same issue) to register to the network.
Subsequent tries take as long a time.

I am using a 1nce IoT sim card and I have used that successfully with a different brand name module to connect to the network much quicker (<<1minute).

I would like to connect only to the NB1 network so I give the following commands:

AT+QCFG=“nwscanseq”,030201
OK
AT+QCFG=“iotopmode”,1
OK
AT+QCFG=“nwscanmode”,3
OK

Any ideas?

  1. your setting is right for NB scan 。

  2. for NB whole band scan need 34 minutes in first register ，it is the root cause。

After the first registration is successful, the current PLMN will be saved as Rplmn, and the second registration will be very fast
