BG96 giving the same measurement for AT+QCSQ after executing the command multiple times

Hi,
I have been trying to use the module to do some network measurements. Every time I execute command AT+QCSQ it gives me the same result and the result only changes after resetting the module. Can you please let me know how to measure without resetting the module.

Even the AT+QENG=“servingcell” command gives the same PCI even if it is in the area of different enodeB.

Is it some memory issue or something else. Can someone please let me know.

What is the test interval？ This is an abnormal phenomenon。

for more analysis ， pls rach to support@ quectel.com , we need to compare the test value in modem with the result of AT cmd ,

I was having this same problem with BG77.
I was using At+QCSQ after network registration was successful.
I alway got the exact same values.

I did a search and found this past and realized it wasnt just me.

So i tried moving my At+QCSQ after i had completed my MQTT connection (AT+QMTOPEN / AT+QMTOPEN)

It worked! Now i actually see changes in the QCSQ results.
