BG96 error when setting "roamservice"

Hi All,

I am trying to connect via a BG96 modem.

Maybe a silly question, but what can be the cause of not being able to set the roamservice? I get an error when giving the following command:

AT+QCFG=“roamservice”,2,1

But the other configuration options can be set like:

AT+QCFG=“iotopmode”,0,1 OK => “”
AT+QCFG=“nwscanseq”,020202,1 OK => “”
at+qcfg=“servicedomain”,1,1 OK => “”
AT+QCFG=“nwscanmode”,3,1 OK => “”
AT+CFUN=1,1 OK => “”

How could this be?

Which version are you using now? (check by AT+QGMR), this command not support on some old FW version.

I have this version: BG95M3LAR02A03_01.009.01.009

I see I made a mistake by calling in BG96 in my topic. But still the BG95 also has this command in the datasheet.

I keep getting “No Service”.

Is there something wrong with the antenna?

How long have you wait? for example 10min later still cant register? because the first time would be spend a longer time to regitser.

which RAT do you perfer to? NB or CATM?
and please share follwoing commands response:
AT+QCFG=“iotopmode”
AT+QCFG=“band”
AT+QCFG=“nwscanmode”
AT+QNWCFG=“hplmnsearch_ctrl”

I have waited for 10 minutes, 20 minutes. No luck.

Here are the responses from the commands:

“+QCFG: “iotopmode”,1”
“+QCFG: “band”,0x3,0x8080084,0x8080084”
“+QCFG: “nwscanmode”,3”
“+QNWCFG: “hplmnsearch_ctrl”,1”

I have set the band to 3, 7, 20 and 28. But I also narrowed it down to 1 or 2 bands, since I believe the SIM is using only band 20.

Those configuration should be ok for NBIOT, but better disable hplmnsearch, BTW, have you checked antena is good?
