Bg95m3-core-qpython-evb gps+modem

I am trying to use the LTE modem and the gps, alternatively, but I can’t get any gps satellites.

mqtt.connect(clean_session=True)
print(mqtt.get_mqttsta())
result = mqtt.publish(topic,msg, retain=False, qos=0)
print(result)
mqtt.disconnect()
mqtt.close()
log.info("enable internal gps")
ret = quecgnss.init()
if ret == 0:
    print('GNSS init ok.')
else:
    print('GNSS init failed.')
print("gps state: ", quecgnss.get_state())
quecgnss.setPriority(0)
for _ in range(5):
    utime.sleep(3)
    data = quecgnss.read(4096)
    print(data[1].decode())
quecgnss.setPriority(1)

I use quecpython for software QPY_OCPU_V0003_BG95M3_FW.bin

GPS antenna is connected to the GNSS port. I have waited for many minutes but still nothing changes in the NMEA messages.

Correct format

modem version: ‘BG95M3LAR02A03_31.202.31.202’

micropython details: ‘sysname=BG95-M3’, ‘nodename=BG95-M3’, ‘release=1.13.0’, ‘version=v1.12 on Thu_Aug_8_2024_11:13:07_AM’, ‘machine=BG95-M3 with QUECTEL’, ‘qpyver=V0003’

Reading the documentation, I found that the pin 37 should be driven low in order to activate the antenna power.

I have measured the voltage on the ufl connector and it is not 3.3V. I have tried to drive the pin 37 with micropython, but it seems that pin 37 is not a valid value for pin.

It seems that the software is implemented according to the documentation, P37 is driven low, but it should be driven HIGH, because only then the Q2 NPN transistor opens and opens the Q1 mosfet which would finally supply the GNSS antenna.

Is there a way to solve this in software or I have to solve it by hardware?

Dear customer

Do you mean you are using PIN37 to control ANT_GNSS? However, you are unable to control PIN37, is that correct? If so, PIN37 cannot be configured as a GPIO pin, so we cannot control it.

then how should I activate the ANT_GNSS ?

Dear customer

Please refer to the attached hardware manual.
