BG95 Main UART possibilities?

Hi,

I have a host processor connected to the BG95 module via the Main UART.

The document Quectel_BG95_Hardware_Design_V1.1.pdf states:
“The main UART interface supports … It is used for data transmission and AT command communication,”

Does this mean you can send a firmware file to the module via the Main UART and then perform an firmware update in the module? How do you do that?

How do you do the data transmission part? Or this is always done via AT commands?
