BG95-M3miniPCIe converter detected -> converter now disconnected

Hi,

I have here a BG95 which is operated at a Hi-Speed USB 2.0 hub LAN9513 from Microchip. We have been looking for the source of the error for several days now:

Extract from the error log dmesg:

The power supply was our first idea but we have now recorded several times with special measuring devices. It looks very good.

So far I have only installed the driver as shown here. Otherwise we have not made any further in Linux settings

What could be the problem?

Thanks for the help

Update:

Hi,

we have now made further tests. We have tested the BG95-M3 miniPCIe directly on two different Linux PCs and on a Windows PC directly without the Hi-Speed USB 2.0 hub LAN9513

The result:

1. PC with Windows: here the BG95-M3miniPCIe is recognized directly and also no abort is reported it works simply and well.

2nd PC with Linux Ubuntu 5.4.0-104 here it comes to the error as shown above!

3. PC with Linux Ubuntu 4.9.254 here it comes exactly to the error as shown above!

Conclusion our models do not get along with Linux Ubuntu?
But why is that? Our firmware is version BG95M3LAR02A04

We have not done any firmware update or downgrade yet.

Can you provide us with the latest firmware: BG95M3LAR02A04_01.002.01.002 and drivers?

What should we do?

Note:
And what we can exclude 100% is the power supply which is perfect!
We have a power supply with 5A! And all the time we recorded the voltage curve with an oscilloscope and proved the quality.

Thank you very much

Okay, it was the ModemManager that didn’t get along with the driver.

Quickly with:

$sudo apt remove modemmanager

to uninstall it.

And now everything works…
