Hi, We are trying to use a BG95-M3 instead of a BG96 and we have managed to get it working with the same commands, but the bg95 takes considerably longer to register to a tower than bg96, as in 30 minutes vs 2 minutes.
Here are some details:
Network: 1oT
Country: UK
Protocol: PPP
Commands sent:
I (11395) [PPPOS CLIENT]: AT COMMAND: [AT…]
I (11415) [PPPOS CLIENT]: AT RESPONSE: […OK…]
I (11515) [PPPOS CLIENT]: AT COMMAND: [AT+CFUN=4…]
I (11535) [PPPOS CLIENT]: AT RESPONSE: […OK…]
I (12305) [PPPOS CLIENT]: GSM initialization start
I (12905) [PPPOS CLIENT]: AT COMMAND: [AT…]
I (12925) [PPPOS CLIENT]: AT RESPONSE: […OK…]
I (13025) [PPPOS CLIENT]: AT COMMAND: [ATZ…]
I (13045) [PPPOS CLIENT]: AT RESPONSE: […OK…]
I (13145) [PPPOS CLIENT]: AT COMMAND: [ATE0…]
I (13165) [PPPOS CLIENT]: AT RESPONSE: [ATE0…OK…]
I (13265) [PPPOS CLIENT]: AT COMMAND: [AT+CFUN=1…]
I (13295) [PPPOS CLIENT]: AT RESPONSE: […OK…]
I (14395) [PPPOS CLIENT]: AT COMMAND: [AT+CNMI=0,0,0,0,0…]
I (14415) [PPPOS CLIENT]: AT RESPONSE: […OK…]
I (14515) [PPPOS CLIENT]: AT COMMAND: [AT+CPIN?..]
I (14535) [PPPOS CLIENT]: AT RESPONSE: […+CPIN: READY…OK…]
I (14635) [PPPOS CLIENT]: AT COMMAND: [AT+CREG?..]
I (14655) [PPPOS CLIENT]: AT BAD RESPONSE: […+CREG: 0,0…OK…]
It keeps replying with CREG 0,0 for 30 minutes until it finally responds with CREG 0,5 and connects like expected.
Again, the BG96 in the same environment, location, time, antenna, board design only needs about 2 minutes.
Is there a command that I should be sending to force it to try to register?
