BG95-M3 not turning on

Hi,
We have a customized PCB for BG95-M3 module. We were connected the module with the UART port, given the power supply and POWER_KEY low to 2seconds. There is no response from the module. Status led is not turned on. There is no response when AT commands were given.
IS there any issue with the BG95-M3?
Can you please give the full power on procedure required.

Thanks

Hi Shahas,

2 seconds is too long, according HD should be given 500ms-1000ms.

Hi Linkin,
Thanks for your reply ,Actually we were given POWERKEY low for 500-1000ms,RESET low for 2s But the module doesn’t respond, for testing we moved to an extend POWERKEY low for up to 2s,RESET low for 4s. We are using customized PCB. Can you please suggest what will be the reason for not turning on .

Do you measure 1V8 on pin 29 VDD_EXT?
and see you, with an oscilloscope, data on the port?
the port is also 1V8, when the processor is an other voltage you need level shifters.

Hi,

Is possible to share Schematic of your device for us?

Hi,
I can’t upload attachment. Can you please share the email id.

Hi,
Please find the link for the schematic.

Hi Cateo,

I have checked the VDD_EXT pin , It is 0v. What will be the reason?

Hi Shahas,

I sent to you email for more details.

Hi,

Could you please check attachment marked voltage or waveform?

HI LINKIN,
Thanks for your support. As per the reply, I have checked the voltage below.

VBAT —>3.8v

1st pin of Q5 -->pulse with 500ms 2.8v

PWRKEY—>0v always

1st pin of Q4–>pulse with 2s 2.8v

VDD_EXT -->0v

Thanks

PWRKEY—>0v always !

Hi Shahas,

When VBAT is applied to the module, the estimated output voltage of the PWRKEY PIN is around 1.5V. We are considering if the BJT is broken. Could you please remove Q5&Q4 and measure the PWRKEY pin?

By the way, do you have any other BG95-M3 modules?
